Merchandise
Four Rivers began selling t-shirts to promote its collaborative Memorial Walk for Angelina Moreton-Cobbler. Those shirts not only generated positive, supportive results for the event, but also helped raise awareness in our community and create solidarity for Walk participants and community members. In return, the Y and Angelina’s family decided to donate all proceeds from the sale of these shirts back to the Counseling Scholarship fund, directly benefiting children and teens in need of counseling services by covering expensive co-pays, many in our rural community cannot afford.
From this successful venture, Four Rivers also sold Mental Health t-shirts as part of its fundraiser campaign for the Counseling Scholarship and to celebrate its first Mental Health Walk in October, 2023. A total of two rounds of t-shirt sales were completed, raising $643 for the Scholarship Fund.
Two unique Shirt designs were developed for the Walk (and did not include the Four Rivers logo). These pictures feature the front and back of the 4RC shirts for the Mental Health walk – proudly designed by Jenny’s two teens. The first shirt design was a beautiful and popular butterfly design, in its wings the slogan was “Fighting Battles We Can’t See.” Four Rivers’ in-house videographer, Ethan Yates, designed the “Men’s Mental Health” logo and completed the design featuring a male silhouette and brain outline.
Due to the popularity and sales of all of these unique mental health awareness shirts, Four Rivers is even more committed to selling mental health merchandise on its site to promote solidarity and unity within our local and larger community to continue to raise awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and promote open conversations about mental well-being for all.
Four Rivers Merchandise will continue to focus on raising awareness, destigmatize mental health, fund Mental Health initiatives such as the Scholarship Fund and other positive mental health campaigns, express solidarity with our local and larger community, promote individual and collective self-care, community education, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and programs for social causes, and community positive and empowering mental health messaging.
Sales of Four Rivers mental health merchandise will be used ethically and responsibly, ensuring that the messaging aligns with the principles of mental health advocacy, and committing any funds raised to effectively to support mental health initiatives, including the Scholarship Fund, and other positive mental health programs and campaigns in our local and larger community.
